Turkish Adult Risk Factor Study (TARF)

The TARF study aims to determine the prevalence of coronary heart disease and cardiovascular risk factors in a random sample of Turkish adults. The study recruited over 3,600 individuals aged 20 years and older from across Turkey, who completed a baseline assessment in 1990. Participants have been followed up every two to five years, including monitoring of mortality. The cohort has been replenished at several follow-up periods.
