The Kame Project aimed to establish the prevalence and incidence rates of dementia in the older Japanese American community in Seattle, Washington State. Between 1992 and 1994, the Kame Project enrolled 1,985 Japanese American individuals aged 65 and over in Seattle. The study was carried out between 1992 and 2001 and consisted of five time points (baseline and follow-ups at approximately 2, 4, 6, and 8 years).
