This study investigates the role of maternal post-traumatic growth and cognitive trauma processing in Palestinian mothers and infants using a cohort of 511 Palestinian mothers from the Gaza Strip. Participants were sequentially selected from pregnant women attending second-trimester check-ups at governmental primary healthcare centres in the Gaza Strip during August-September 2013. The cohort consists of mothers in their second trimester of pregnancy, with no additional participants recruited after the initial cohort. The mothers were followed up at three specific time points: during the second trimester of pregnancy (T1), when the infants were four months old (T2), and when the infants were twelve months old (T3).
