THIN® is a standardised European database of fully anonymised electronic medical records collected from general practices that have joined the THIN® network and was established in 1994. It aims to provide insights into the patterns of diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes of medical and mental health conditions. THIN® databases currently cover over 67 million patients across the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium and Romania.
