The Three Prefecture Study investigated the associations between lifestyle factors and cancer incidence in a cohort of Japanese adults. Participants were at least 40 years old at baseline and resided in Japan's Miyagi, Aichi, or Osaka prefectures. At baseline, over 100,000 participants were included in the study. Participants were from both rural and urban locations within the three prefectures.
