The Timoun Mother–Child Cohort study aims to investigate the impact of perinatal environmental exposure to chlordecone and expectant mothers’ diet on child development in Guadeloupe. Participants are over 1,000 pregnant women and their offspring, recruited during the women’s third trimester of pregnancy. Baseline assessment of the women occurred at enrolment from 2004 to 2007, and children were assessed at birth. Children have been followed up at three months, seven months, 18 months and seven years old.
