Taiwan Maternal and Infant Cohort Study of phthalate exposure and health risk assessment (TMICS)

TMICS assesses the impact of environmental phthalate exposure on maternal and infant health, involving participants recruited from nine hospitals across Taiwan. Pregnant women who had no history of systemic diseases, were 45 years or younger, and did not use corticosteroids or immunosuppressants chronically were recruited into the study. Over 1,600 mother-baby pairs completed baseline data collection. The average age of participants at recruitment was 32.5 years. Follow-ups are conducted during pregnancy and post-birth to monitor long-term health outcomes.
