Sample details

The TEC commenced recruitment in 2007 when non-Indigenous people born in Darwin, Australia, between 1987 and 1991 were invited to be part of the Life Course Program. Together with the age-matched Aboriginal Birth Cohort (ABC) study, the TEC provides a unique resource to examine the health and wellbeing of young people in the Top End of Australia across their life span. Participants included in the TEC are Darwin residents aged between 16 and 20 years who were born in Darwin between 1987 and 1991 to a mother who is non-Indigenous.
