Sample details

The Uppsala Birth Cohort Multigeneration Study (UBCoS) was established in 2004, collecting data on 14,192 males and females born in Uppsala from 1915 -1929 with information on their descendants from routine data registers, school archives, and Census 1930 records. Through additional data collection, the study extended its follow-up period until the end of 2010, allowing for the investigation of intergenerational associations among more than 140,000 study subjects from families spanning up to five generations. The study's primary aim is to explore the life course and intergenerational determinants of social inequalities in health.
