UKHLS is a large scale longitudinal household panel study that includes approximately 40,000 households in the United Kingdom. Participating households are recruited through a representative stratified sample of the population with additional samples from an Immigrant and Ethnic Minority Boost. Additionally, over 6,000 participants were added through the British Household Panel Survey (BHPS) sample in Wave Two of data collection. The study has recruited additional participants over time and participants are followed up annually through interviews and surveys.
