VAHCS is the first of the two 2000 Stories Study cohorts based in Victoria, Australia. VAHCS follows approximately 2,000 students aged 14-15 years across adolescence and into adulthood. The participants completed 6 assessments during school, and 5 interviews at approximate ages of 21, 24, 29, 35 and 41 years of age. Participants with children were approached to recruit for the subsequent Victorian Intergenerational Health Cohort Study (VIHCS), which was launched in 2006.
