The VLV survey aims to evaluate the life and health conditions of elderly individuals living in Switzerland, and to compare these conditions to those observed in 1979 and 1994. The study is conducted in five Swiss cantons: Geneva, Valais, Bern, Basel, and Ticino. Between 2011 and 2012, the study recruited approximately 3,600 participants aged 65 to 105 years, including an equal number of males and females. To date, participants have been followed up in 2017.
