BACK
Sample details

The West of Scotland 11 to 16: Teenage Health Study was carried out to help understand the health and health behaviours of adolescents. The 16 Plus Study was a follow-up of the same young people at age 18 to 20, then again at age 22. Over 2,500 participants were recruited when in their final year of primary school when they were aged approximately 11 years old. Approximately 52% of the sample were male, and 86% of the participants' parents also completed questionnaires. This study is linked to the West of Scotland Twenty-07 study and allows for comparison between cohorts.
