This dataset includes data from 83% of the Welsh population and 80% of general practitioner (GP) practices in Wales, with anonymised linkable fields for individuals and GPs to other datasets. Each practice uses a clinical information system to maintain electronic health records, capturing a wide range of patient information, mostly entered during consultations and with test results transferred from secondary care systems. The cohort consists of individuals of all ages and sexes.
