Yamagata Cohort Study

The Yamagata Cohort study aims to clarify the relationships between genetic and environmental factors and common diseases and deaths. Over 20,000 participants aged over 40 years were recruited from seven cities in Yamagata Prefecture, Japan and completed baseline assessment from 2009 to 2015. Participants have been followed via linked mortality and healthcare data, as well as questionnaires.
