The project Environmental and LifEstyle FActors iN metabolic health throughout life-course Trajectories (ELEFANT) was established in 2015 to investigate the impact of environmental exposures and lifestyle at different points in the life-cycle upon the risk of non-communicable disease. The Young ELEFANT is one of three ongoing projects, with 366,474 participants aged 20 to 40 years. The participants are based in Tianjin, China.
