The ZACS was established to investigate the incidence of non-communicable diseases and their risk factors in Zahedan, Iran. Between 2015 and 2019, the study recruited approximately 10,000 adults aged 35 to 70 years of Iranian citizenship living in Zahedan. Participants are followed up annually, with plans to follow participants for at least 15 years.
