The ZARADEMP project aimed to document the association between risk factors and realised dementia cases and its most frequent subtypes. The study recruited participants who were cognitively normal community members aged 55 and older from Zaragoza, Spain, and surrounding rural areas. At baseline, participants were mostly female and educated at a primary level. The baseline cohort consisted of over 4,800 participants.
